Originally known as Roach Beach then Floral Beach until 1952 when it was named Surfside Beach. Located 5 miles south of Myrtle Beach, this beach town is laidback and holds that Southern charm that its northern neighbor overlooks. Despite this leisure atmosphere there is plenty to do.
